urban meditation retreat | Dec 6-8
A weekend of meditation and community
Join us for an urban retreat!
We’ll continue to explore the themes from our Monday night series’, diving more deeply into the practice of becoming aware of our minds and how they function. We’ll have consecutive hours on both Saturday and Sunday to point out and identify aspects of our awareness and the nature of our attention, giving us invaluable tools to grow more deeply into our everyday expression of connection and compassion, enriching our relationship to our environment and all that is encompassed by it. Be prepared to converse and engage conversationally, receive the thoughts and expressions of others, and to sit quietly, listening and receiving the nature of the mind.
Friday evening will be an orientation, bringing the community together to introduce and ready ourselves for the weekend’s contemplative excursion. Saturday and Sunday will be full days of guided meditation and connection.
We’ll be gathering just around the corner in Chapel Hill for minimal life disruption. There’s a kitchen on site! You’re welcome to bring your lunches/snacks/teas/coffees and utilize it, but best if it’s light preparation and not full on cooking. Be in comfy clothes and bring anything else you’ll need to be wholly comfortable during our time.
This retreat is for all who are interested in exploring contemplative quietude, beginner and advanced aspirants alike. Please do email me, jarretscott@gmail.com, if you have any questions.
