ACH / Direct Debit Instructions
The CRM software we use, Momence, utilizes Stripe to process all payments. We absorb all the processing fees so you don’t have to. As it turns out though, this is a huge and somewhat prohibitive expense. Fortunately, Momence recently released another payment processing option, but it requires a transition on your part. It’s a quick one, but we can’t do it for you.
ACH (Automated Clearing House) is a direct debit payment method. Merchants use it to withdraw the cost of the good/service from the customer's bank directly, while still utilizing the same security measures to protect your personal information. Stripe will still process ACH payments, but the fee to do it would be *much* lower for us. So adding your ACH information will allow us to avoid raising prices. Please know that your information will remain as secure as before - Stripe uses the same security measures for both ACH and credit card storage.
So, here’s what you do in three easy steps:
1. Log into your Momence account. Click your name on the top rig ht, and then click My Account.
2. Now you are on the page that has your credit card info. Click on Save ACH and then click Update. A window pops up with info about how Momence uses Stripe to process payments; click Agree.
3. Another window pops up. Select your bank. If you don’t see yours, type the name of your bank in the search bar. Put in your bank credentials - the sign-in you use to bank online and press Continue. You might be asked to answer some security questions you originally set up with your online banking. After that, click Link, which then links your bank account with Momence. That’s it! All done.
You can either leave or delete your credit card information. Currently the phone app does not allow for ACH payments. You have to use a browser either on your phone or computer. If you’re using the phone app, you’ll need to use your credit card to pay for class. Momence is currently working on making ACH available on the phone app.
Email Mira once you’ve done this and she’ll put $5 in your account to apply to your next class. Really, thank you. It helps us a lot. And for clarity, you’ll always have the option to use a credit card if you’d prefer.
